In order to preserve the industrial monument in Leipzig's district of Anger-Crottendorf, the Dolphin Group is working on new utilisation concepts. First planning proposals will be presented soon.

Industrial monument in Leipzig: the former Krause factory at Theodor-Neubauer-Straße.

“You can hardly escape the sight of the large building on Leipzig´s Theodor-Neubauer-Straße.” This is the conclusion of the lead story of the local section in the Leipziger Volkszeitung, a local newspaper, in the issue of 3rd December. The article deals with the construction plans of the Dolphin Group. Currently, the planning suggests a reuse of the industrial monument for residential purposes.

Up to 100 apartments will be built in the former factory. In order to comply with the guidelines of the authorities for the protection of historic buildings and monuments, special attention will be paid to preserving the scenic roof landscape and the elevator towers. The factory, which was previously used by Kombinat Polygraph, is vacant since 1994. Despite the vacancy, the building fabric, including the facade and the stairs, has remained very well preserved.
